Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Marrambidya Wetland for its peaceful atmosphere, abundant birdlife, and rich cultural significance. The well-maintained trails and informative displays are highlights, offering a serene escape. Some visitors noted the heat and lack of water during certain periods, and caution is advised around potential wasp nests.

"Beautiful spot, lots of birds, easy to walk around with information boards spread around the trail."

Flissy Wheels

"Nice, peaceful place. Magic to have the sunlight sparkling on beautiful horses. And lovely kakadus posing in the trees. Thanks to the Wiradjuri people for having us. Unfortunately, it was scorching hot and not much water in the little lakes. So we went to seek shelter among the trees."

Andreas Ludwig

"Very peaceful, quiet area right by the river. A lot of cultural significance for the Wiradjuri people. Various informative signs, audio playbacks and beautiful paintings on display. There's a deck you can walk up to get a better aerial view of the ponds (be careful, we got attacked by a wasp nest there Mar 23). There's also a bird watching hut with detailed illustrations of all the different birds you might see in the area. Area looks well maintained, there was no litter around and the grass is slashed regularly in the areas of interest. We parked near the river boat ramp and walked about 400m to get to the wetlands, but there is a carpark right next to the wetlands if you don't want to do the walk. Toilets, drinking water, benches and even a bike repair station is available on site."
