What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Injidup Natural Spa's stunning beauty and unique 'nature's spa' experience, calling it a must-visit for its dramatic rock formations and ocean views. While the cold water and potential for getting drenched are noted, the overall consensus is that it's an incredible, therapeutic, and photogenic natural wonder.
"This is one of the top tourist spots for a reason! Got lost in the mesmerizing beauty of nature. We visited around the first week of October and it was a good time for climbing the rocks under the sun and also taking a dip in the cold water.
Note: you need to climb up and down these rocks in order to see the spa, and you will get drenched even if you aren’t planning to (if you get too close to a wave hitting the rocks). So wear shoes with a good grip and bring extra clothes. However, there isn’t a place to change or any toilets in sight."

The Magic of the Natural Spa
Visitors often describe the feeling as being in nature's own jacuzzi. The water can be quite cold, even in warmer months, but the invigorating sensation is part of the charm. It's a place where you can feel the raw power of the ocean while being in a relatively protected, yet dynamic, environment. The visual spectacle of the waves interacting with the rocks is mesmerizing.
While it's called a 'spa,' it's important to remember this is a wild, natural setting. The 'treatment' comes from the ocean's energy, not curated amenities. The experience is about immersing yourself in the natural beauty and power of the Western Australian coast.
Navigating the Terrain and Safety
Safety is paramount, particularly due to the unpredictable nature of ocean waves. While the spa pools offer a sense of enclosure, rogue waves can surge over the rocks, drenching anyone nearby. It's crucial to be aware of the tide and swell conditions. Avoid getting too close to the edge when large waves are expected, and never turn your back on the ocean.
There are no lifeguards on duty, and facilities like toilets or changing rooms are absent. Visitors should come prepared with everything they need, including a change of clothes and towels, and be mindful of the natural environment. Respecting the power of the ocean and exercising caution will ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
Photography Hotspots
Drone photography is particularly popular here, providing breathtaking aerial perspectives of the spa's intricate rock formations and the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean. Capturing the waves as they crash and swirl into the pools offers dynamic shots. Wide-angle lenses are excellent for encompassing the grandeur of the coastline, while a polarizing filter can enhance the vibrant blues of the water and sky.
Beyond the main spa area, the surrounding Injidup Beach and the rugged coastline offer further photographic subjects. Look for interesting textures in the rocks, the patterns left by receding waves, and the vibrant colors of the wildflowers that bloom in spring.
