What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Koala Boardwalk for its incredible up-close encounters with koalas and the fact that it's completely free. Many appreciate the opportunity to see kangaroos at dusk and enjoy the park's natural beauty. Some note the boardwalk's short length, but find the experience worthwhile.
"Were there 6 stars, I'd give them. The koala walk bring you close and personal to these sleepy furry balls of sweetness, while at dusk kangoroos invade and take over the park. For a foreigner is simply mesmerizing."

"Lovely place to wander around and see the koalas and kangaroos. Loads of bird life as well. Breakfast at the Yanchep Inn was good with huge range of seating options including plenty of tables out on the terrace."
Chris Hickey
"Yanchep Koala Boardwalk is small. Really small. You walk in expecting a whole adventure and instead you get a short wooden path that feels like it was built during someoneβs lunch break. But then you look up and see koalas doing their sleepy, fluffy, zero motivation lifestyle and suddenly everything makes sense.
It is free which makes it even better. You stroll a bit, you spot a few koalas pretending gravity is optional and boom, that is already a win. Simple, quick and cute.
Solid four out of five. If you want a long hike, go somewhere else. If you want koalas without paying a cent, this is your place."
