Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Yarrangobilly Caves, particularly the magnificent formations within the Jersey and South Caves, enhanced by knowledgeable guides. The thermal pool is a popular spot for a relaxing, naturally heated swim, though some find the temperature cooler than expected. The scenic walk to the pool adds to the overall experience, though the uphill return can be challenging.

"An awesome spot — the thermal pool is around 27°C. It’s not as hot as the thermal pools in Rotorua or even regular heated swimming pools, but it’s pleasantly warm and doesn’t feel cold at all — perfect for a relaxing swim.

We arrived around 10:30 a.m., and it was nice and quiet for about an hour, so we really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The water was clean, and the toilets were well maintained. Around 11:30, the crowd started to arrive, so we wrapped up around that time.

The pool depth is about 2.5 meters at the deep end and around 1.75 meters near the shallow end, where there’s a walking rail. It’s about a 700m steep walk to reach the pool, but totally manageable. Entry is just $4, and if you’d like to explore the caves too, it’s $22 per person — definitely worth it!"

"Caves are beautiful and stunning inside, I gave 4 stars as the information wasn't given clearly and we got mix-up between self guided and tour guide for Jersey cave and Jellabenan cave. Thermal pool is nice, walking back up to the car park was fun!"

"The caves are truly magnificent!!!
We went to the South and Jersey caves only cos we have just a half-day trip. They’re featuring incredible formations that leave a lasting impression, and the tour guide was so knowledgeable, making the entire experience both fascinating and educational."
