What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Kesselfallklamm Semriach for its beautiful gorge walk, especially on hot days due to the cooling effect of the water. The well-built wooden stairs offer a unique experience, though sturdy boots are recommended. While the waterfall's flow can vary, the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere are consistent highlights. Some sections are steep, making it less ideal for dogs, but it's a great spot for families.
"Beautiful walk through pretty gorge, particularly nice on a hot day as the presence of water makes it cooler. The bottom of the stream was dried up but higher up are pleasant pools and small waterfalls. The walk to the top takes about 30 minutes and is not particularly challenging but sturdy boots are recommended due to the many stairs. Note: the path is closed off at the top (July 2025) so the return is back down the gorge. We were debating if we should take our dog with us but glad we didn’t. This walk is not suitable for dogs unless you carry them up in a rucksack. Somebody tried today to walk their Labrador up and had to turn back. However, this walk is very suitable for families."

"A very beautiful and peaceful place to have self healing on weekend. Hiking trails are easy to find and completely safe. Finally I can say is ‘Razlan was here!’"

"Easy and beautiful walk, we were told that it dried up years ago, but we still had views and climbs in and around a wonderful waterfall.
The nearby restaurant is good but not extraordinary.
Just outside the Klamm is a ruin of a mill, unfortunately closed off, but it is still an interesting point along the way.
A little off the path is the stone gate (Steintor) with beautiful views and impressive natural structures."
