What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Pöstlingbergbahn offers a charming and scenic tram ride up to a historic church and panoramic views of Linz. While many praise the experience and the value of the Erlebnisticket, some visitors have encountered rude staff and noted that fog can obscure the summit views.
"Great trip down to the plaza, but extremely rude driver on the train. We were not sure which ticket to buy (we had walked up) and I asked the driver who was standing there. He said in perfect English “ I don’t speak English, you are in Austria, speak German” Luckily some kind bystanders helped!"

"Even though it was foggy at the top of Postlingberg, we still enjoyed our trip to the top. We went in the church, and the organist was playing some creepy music. We used the free bathroom also, almost directly across from the side entrance to the church. When you enter the Postlingbergbahn tram, notice the stickers on the window. The front and back of the tram is for the elderly, and pregnant women. Buy a Erlebnisticket. (€12) This entitles you to a ride up & down to Postlingberg, and 24 hrs tram & buses in the core zone."
