It’s a great spot for families, as there are plenty of interactive displays that kids will enjoy. You can easily spend an hour or two here learning about the park before heading out to explore the real thing. The centre also has a coffee shop and a gift shop, making it a nice place to take a break.
There’s ample parking right outside, and from there, it’s an easy walk into Mittersill’s town centre, making it a convenient stop while in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!"

"Very interesting centre, packed with information. Perfect when the weather is not ideal for walking in the mountains. Plenty to keep kids entertained, with interactive exhibits. All the information boards are in German and English. The English translations are good (which definitely isn't the case everywhere in the region). The 3D cinema show is good, but we couldn't get the English audio to work (uses a QR code)."

"Great spot to spend hour or two and learn about Austria's biggest national park. Expositions are interesting and made also in english (except for 3d cinema) so it's not an issue if you don't speak german. If you are going to Hohe Tauern and passing town of Mittersil I would definetely recommend to stop by."
