"INCREDIBLE views of Salzburg from the viewing platform. I’m not sure how much it costs to go up and down, as it’s covered in the Salzburg card. It’s also where the museum of modern art is located, but I didn’t have time in my 2-days here to make it to that museum. But definitely, if you are someone who likes good views, this place has it! Great shots of old town Salzburg. Pretty during sunset. They also have later hours, so if you want a night time view of the city, it’s also a good place to take that in! It’s also easily accessible via the local buses (I took the 8). The elevators go up as soon as you scan your ticket and press the button / its not where you have to wait for a certain time to go up in groups. They have paved sidewalks once outside that are easy walking"

"When you reach the observation deck in an elevator carved into the rock, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the historic old and new towns of Salzburg, the Salzach River flowing with the waters of the Alps, and the impregnable Hohensalzburg Fortress. Although the view is lower than that from Hohensalzburg Fortress, from here you can see the castle from a great angle, looking up at the whole castle, which is the biggest highlight. If you want to see Salzburg, this is the best place to do so."
