What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Stiegl-Brauwelt for its well-executed museum, generous beer tastings, and delicious Austrian cuisine. The free entry with the Salzburg Card is a significant plus. Some find the self-guided tour a bit confusing, and a few felt the museum could be more extensive for the price.
"We did a guided tour with Anna, she was excellent. The portions of the samples were impressive and they tasted delicious.
The whole thing is done very well indeed - the beer, the tour, the museum, the food, the beer garden, the shop, the site, just everything.
Highly recommend."

"I've visited other brewery museums, but this one is the best. I didn't expect it to be so big and so well-made. The museum has several floors. There is a film hall in which a film tells about the history and production of #Stiegl beer, there are many digital points, there is a lot of history. We visited it without a guide and it was still very interesting. Great! First you go to BRAUSHOP and buy a ticket. If you have a Salzburgcard, the entrance is free. The entrance to the museum is at the cash register. With the ticket at the end of the museum, there is a bar and you pour yourself a beer. After the tour in BRAUSHOP, you taste one of their new beers, so it's a good idea to visit the museum at least 12:00. When buying the entrance ticket to the museum, you are given a coupon for a 10% discount on everything in the store. When you buy something, you also spin the wheel of fortune, where you are bound to win something. At the end, they even gave us a cider as a gift. A great experience. Definitely visit it."

"We really wanted to enjoy this more, but had an interesting time. We took the self guided tour that was included in the Salzburg card. The museum was large and had some interesting features, but to me it felt bigger than it needed to be for what they actually had on display. We enjoyed the video at the beginning but had to circle around a few times before it started playing in English. We ended up getting lost and couldn’t find the self tap room and exit, so had to exit out the beginning. Another tourist we’d seen inside said that they found the self tap room, but their self guided tour ticket wouldn’t let them make any pours. Since we had the Salzburg card it was “free” but if we’d payed for this it would’ve been pretty disappointing. Overall not the worst brewery museum experience but definitely not the best."
