Reviews Summary

Himchari National Park is praised for its breathtaking natural beauty, offering stunning coastal views and a refreshing waterfall. Visitors love the serene atmosphere and the opportunity to explore lush forest trails. However, the park suffers from a significant littering problem, which detracts from its otherwise majestic scenery.

"Himchori offers a stunning view of the sea from the hills and a refreshing waterfall nearby. The sunset point is absolutely mesmerizing. The area could use a bit more cleanliness and better parking facilities, but the natural beauty makes it worth visiting."

Shariful

"Himchari Mountain in Cox's Bazar is a must-visit for nature lovers. The scenic view from the top is absolutely stunning—lush green hills meeting the endless blue of the sea. The peaceful environment and gentle breeze make it perfect for a quiet escape. A great spot for photos, sunsets, and enjoying the natural beauty of Bangladesh. Highly recommended! 🌿📸"

Abdullah Yousuf

"Himchari National Park offers a completely different vibe from the main beach area. If you're looking to trade the crowds for the sounds of the jungle and crashing waves, this is your spot.

The park is essentially a beautiful, hilly forest that stretches right along the coastline. The main road cuts through it, offering stunning lookout points where you can see the dense green canopy meet the bright blue Bay of Bengal. The view from these vantage points is the undisputed highlight—it's absolutely majestic and perfect for photos.

We did a short hike on one of the trails. It's a proper nature experience; you'll hear birds, see interesting trees, and feel completely away from the city. The famous "Himchari Fountain" (a seasonal waterfall) is located within the park's boundaries.

A few honest points:

· Not a "Traditional" Park: Don't arrive expecting a highly managed park with clear signposts, visitor centers, and guided nature walks. Its beauty is in its raw, untamed state. You explore at your own pace.
· The Litter Problem: This is the biggest downside. The amount of plastic bottles and snack wrappers scattered along the roadsides and trails is heartbreaking. It seriously mars the natural beauty and is a call to action for better maintenance and visitor responsibility.
· Transport: You'll need a car or CNG to get here and explore the various points. It's not really a walkable area from the main town.

Verdict: This place has so much potential. The natural scenery is a solid 5 stars. The lack of upkeep and littering is a 2-star issue. I'm settling on 4 because the views are truly that incredible.

Come for the breathtaking coastal vistas and a taste of the forest. But please, be a part of the solution: take all your trash back with you."
