What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Château de Bouillon for its rich history, impressive medieval architecture, and stunning panoramic views. The falconry shows are a definite highlight, adding an engaging element to the visit. However, some find the ticket packaging restrictive if only interested in the castle, and the steep, narrow pathways can be challenging for those with mobility issues.
"Relaxed atmosphere and several areas could be accessed via rolling walker. We enjoyed the falconry show at the end of the day.
Would have appreciated a place to buy a cup of tea, coffee or an ice cream to enjoy while learning about the history of the castle.
Happened to be there while they were setting up for a Halloween haunted house. Wish I could visit when it was completed. 🎃💀"

"Bouillon Castle is a must-see if you're in the area! The place is full of history and fun to explore. Walking through the old stone halls really makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
The views from the top are amazing, you can see the whole town and the river winding through the valley. It’s perfect for photos!
There’s also a cool falconry show if you go at the right time. Overall, it’s a great spot for a day trip, beautiful, peaceful, and interesting.
Tickets were 16€ per adult, kids pay a bit less."

"This is a small and charming tourist village. If you want to see the full view of the area, you can come here and enjoy it. Touring inside the castle is also worth doing once. However, it was disappointing that it wasn’t possible to buy only the castle entrance ticket — it felt like we were forced to purchase extra tickets we didn’t need. If you plan to stay overnight or spend the whole day in the area, the ticket package might be worth it, but if you’re just here to see the castle, I wouldn’t recommend it."
