What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently impressed by the Atomium's unique architectural design and its iconic status as a symbol of Brussels. The panoramic views from the top sphere are a major highlight, and many find the illuminated night display to be magical. Some visitors feel the interior exhibitions could be more extensive, and its location requires a dedicated trip from the city center.
"This attraction is a perfect blend of modern and mid-century modern art and history. The structure is very well maintained and surprised us with the amount of rooms that were on display, I felt like someone was saying “but wait, there’s more!” I highly recommend visiting the Atomium if you are in the area, I certainly left me wishing that world fairs were still a thing."

"This 100 meter landmark of Belgium is a structure made up of 9 metallic spheres, representing the crystal structure of iron on a monumental scale. It was built in 1958 for the World Expo; a bold and visionary project at the time, which remains one of major tourist attractions of Brussels today.
The interiors of the spheres are designed for visitors, and the top sphere houses a restaurant with a panoramic view of the city. It also holds strong potential for incorporating more contemporary ideas in the future."

"Very impressive building outside, but there are not s lot of interesting things to see or do inside. Just a pretty good view from above. It is really overrated. Just take some photos outside the impressive building just to say that you visited it. If I ever go to Brussels again, I'll rather wander somewhere else."
