What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise ADAM Brussels Design Museum for its engaging temporary exhibitions, particularly the visually stunning 'EmotionAir' Balloon Museum. The permanent plastic design collection is also noted for its unique historical perspective. Some find the museum's focus on temporary shows means less to see if those aren't of interest.
"There were no waiting lines, we got in there quickly. The main part of the museum is the Belgium design exposition. It's comprised of two parts; one is about the various chairs and furniture. The other one is collected from all around the world and is comprised from plastic design elements; here you can see all the various everyday items and electronics made from plastics and how they evolved over time. Then, the most interesting exposition to me was the skateboarding part. Here you are able to see the evolution of the skateboarding culture. There are some really unique skateboards and items."

"The collection of plastic objects is very interesting and diverse, but what inspired me the most was how the museum highlights the work of women designers. For so long, their contributions have been overshadowed or not recognized at all, and as a designer, it was very meaningful to see this focus in the exhibition. Congratulations to the museum for creating this space and contributing to changing the narrative in design."
Diana Romero
"I just loved this museum! It was included in the ticket for the Atomium, so I checked it out. Brought back, so many memories of plastic made objects from the 70s & 80s when growing up. Great to see originals by well-known designers. Wasn't so interested in the temporary exhibit on skateboards through the decades. Glad this museum was included in the ticket as you didn't get much for your money when visiting the Atomium, just a lift ride and 360 degree views of Brussels."
