"I had visited a few times for some official meetings. This time, I went with my family for the "Europe Day". There were mostly young commission employees at the stands. It seemed that celebrating Europe Day was assigned only to the lower-level staff and the local ordinary people. The same scene was in the EU Council and Parliament. However, commissioners, MEPs, ministers or ambassadors of member states could also be at the stands at least for a certain period of time and mingle with their "people". Probably those big guys at the top of the chain had more important things to do than celebrating Europe Day with their communities!?"
