"This really is the central hub of Potosi. We seem to gravitate to it during our few days as it is surrounded by the major cathedral, historic colonial buildings and lots of vendors. It is the city's main square and is referred to as "Plaza del Regocijo" because it hosts major celebrations like Carnival and national holidays twice a year since 1890. Historically, it was a venue for bullfights, where the Prefect would donate bulls for public entertainment. It has a great atmosphere and is quite beautiful at sunset. It also has some quite humorous wise of guiding pedestrians around with guides dressed in various costumes"
