What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Maun town center is primarily recognized as a crucial logistical hub and provisioning point for travelers heading to the Okavango Delta. Visitors appreciate the modern shopping facilities, including supermarkets and essential services, which make restocking convenient. However, some find the town itself to be expensive and basic, with limited attractions beyond its gateway function.
"Good super markets. One of which is a Woolworths food store. Everything you need to restock before heading back into the wilderness"
Robin Thesen
"Very few shady sites. Staff friendly and helpful with the means they have available. MQ2 has some shade and Ellies visiting a water outlet right behind it. Expensive for what is available. Water for shower, washing and tap water is drinkable. We purify just incase with 360° tablets. This is a great plus. Ablutions very clean but basic."
Cheryl Theunissen
"Good, clean shopping centre with ample parking. Note: Although the mall opens at 8am, most of the shops, except for Checkers, only open at 9am."
