"Unfortunately, Angra does not have a nice beach. If you have no time, money or chance to go out, u can come here. The coconut Beach is the first and last beach for family in the Angra/Paraty area. It is wide, quiet and not crowded. Because, no shops. At least, they have a beautiful clear water and a shallow shore, and so no big wave/swell. And it is a convenient location with a parking.
As many tall trees make a good shadow in the beach, you may not need a parasol, but snorkel. As you can see many fishes in the shore, I would recommend to take a snorkel for children. Also on the left side there is a small rocky stretch which you may see other type of fishes, too. But, the beach is not developed for the visitor. Minimum Items should be prepared: Food/drink, tap water in 2L pet bottle for rinsing. Otherwise, go to Arraial do cabo. Ten times better."
