Um marco histórico tão importante, mas completamente abandonado e esquecido. A prefeitura de Cairu cobra R$ 50 por pessoa que entra na ilha, mas não se presta a fazer a manutenção e limpeza. Dizem que a responsabilidade é da União, outro ente público igualmente ineficiente e relaxado com a História do Brasil e da Bahia. É lamentável!"
