What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia do Ribeiro is appreciated for its scenic beauty, particularly the charming Pasarela do Ribeiro walkway and the picturesque boat mooring. While not a swimming beach and sometimes carrying a fishy scent, its tranquil atmosphere and natural surroundings make it a worthwhile stop for a leisurely stroll and photography.
"It seems a beach for boats only. Though the view is nice, it is better to go there if you want to get on a boat, or just walking around as we did."
Rodrigo Gonzalez
"The place is a very bucolic enclave, with beautiful and centenary trees. But it is not a bathing beach, and it never intended to be (at least in the last 2 or 3 centuries). Incidentally, the site appears in the first cartographic surveys of the old Espirito Santo Captaincy, from around 1500. It was already described as a place for mooring boats. In the last many decades it became a fishing boat mooring, similar to Prainha at Vila Velha City Center. And as such, it is in fact quite dirty and generally fishy smelling. Even so, it is beautiful and worth a quick stop early in the morning or late in the afternoon. One day, who knows, those fishing boats will find another place to anchor, and the place will return to being a beach, as it once was (200 to 300 years ago! kkkk)."
