"Wonderful beach and town. Just the right size - small but lots of restaurants and small markets. Gentle waves so swimming was great."

"From the beaches in Ilha Grande, this beach is very special. It is what the village of Abraão used to be 20 years ago. Calm, serene, beautiful, and less touristic. Nonetheless, it has very comfortable accommodations, pousadas, bars & restaurants to rival Ipanema Beach. If you stay here, the afternoons to evenings is a time to unwind. To relax. To bathe in the calm beach waters. Even at weekends, it is relaxing. The only advice is the lack of transport from here to Abraão. You can go day trips around the island, but going to Abraão for the day will mean a boat back to Angra dos Reis and their normal boat to the town. Again, to return, a boat to Angra and the boat taxi here. I think the local authorities should consider a link boat between the places. Don't let this stop you. Staying here is one of the best options on the island. And we loved our stay."
