What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sozopol Central Beach is praised for its beautiful white sand and clear, shallow turquoise waters, making it ideal for families. Its prime location near the Old Town offers stunning views and easy access to historical sites. However, some visitors have experienced issues with overcrowding, less-than-ideal management of amenities, and a prevalence of cigarette butts on the sand during peak season.
"The beach was a breathtaking canvas of natural beauty. The sand, as soft and white as powdered sugar, stretched for miles, meeting the gentle, crystalline waters of the sea. The water itself was a mesmerizing shade of turquoise, so clear that you could see the delicate patterns of the seabed below."

"Beautiful beach with the white sand very close to the old town and exquisite orthodox church. The beach is clean and ready for a season. You can rent an umbrella and a sunbed if you wish, but you can also just sit on the towel and enjoy waves and the view over the beautiful old town. Food and drink is very close. Toilets available. They also have places to change from your clothing to swimsuit. They also have slides for kids. But the most important thing is that the water is shallow for around 30 meters so it's perfect for kids to play."

"The beach is OK, but the people who are managing it this year do not know how to treat customers. Not very thoughtful and not friendly at least to say. It gets crowded very early, and there is no space left also very early. The free zone is small, but OK I guess. Other than that the umbrellas are small and more transparent than one might want. The beach is clean except for cigarettes, the cleaning machine tends to miss them, so they are a lot, there are no ashtrays so most of the people are dumping them into the sand. The bar on the beach is also OK on the south end - the white bar, no other payment than cash is accepted there. The Scent in the middle is so much better. As a whole the middle area of the beach is the best. Better avoid the south part."
