Acadian descendant here. Any recommendations for spots to visit?

We are traveling to the area in July. Hoping to reconnect with our Acadian past. Great grandfather and preceding line are from Wedgeport. Thanks for your help! Edit: Thank you everyone for your recommendations! I appreciate it so much and can’t wait to visit.

Last Minute Trip to Nova Scotia, looking for help with suggestions.

Annapolis Royal is a beautiful stop as well as Digby. If you have time for a hike I suggest the Cape split. Lunenburg and Mahone Bay is also a nice little stop. And in Shag Bay there is a museum dedicated to a supposed UFO crash off the coast.
