What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the park's serene atmosphere, beautiful lake, and well-maintained facilities, making it a peaceful camping and hiking destination. While some trails can be challenging to navigate and bug spray is a must, the overall experience is highly positive, with friendly staff and good amenities enhancing the visit.
"Camped at silent lake for the first time in late July 2024. I'd recommend 3 days here for campers as there are only 3 hiking trails - all of which were great, although sometimes difficult to find the trail. Enjoyed the 15km hike around the lake, but was a bit buggy. Beaches are not dog friendly, but there are plenty of areas to bring dogs into the water (we normally went down by the boat launch as my dog likes to just get his paws in the water and not fully swim). 3 days was a perfect amount of time for us to see everything, hike everything, and rent a canoe to paddle around the stunning lake."

"Silent Lake is a stunning province park. They have a fantastic park store located very close to the entrance. They have canoe rentals available. Weather depending, call ahead. The store itself is stocked with awesome park merchandise. All the staff we encounter with all extremely helpful and very friendly. We had a walk in site for 3 nights. The site was lovely and exactly when we wanted. The park is very well organized and it's so easy to find your way around. Canoeing the lake was a blast. We explored into the smaller parts of the lake and managed to catch a few small fish. All and all a beautiful park and a fantastic experience."

"The hiking trails are quite long if you want to take a full tour. It's quite beautiful. My camping ground was close to some kind of processing facility that makes constant noise. It was a bit annoying, but other than that everything was fine. The staff are friendly and helpful. No type of motor boats are allowed."
