What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for downtown Brantford's City Hall area are mixed, with some praising the friendly and efficient service of staff like Sarah Mills, while others report negative experiences with unhelpful staff and rude behavior, particularly towards international visitors. The disruptive noise from the repaired bell tower is also a significant complaint for local residents.
"Whenever I go to City Hall in Brantford, my experience is always positive.
You are met by security guards who are always friendly, then you deal with the staff at the main counter, always so friendly and on this past Friday, my dealings were with Sarah Mills regarding a mix up on paperwork caused by myself, again, just a great person to talk to. Sarah handles grants but she was able to help me within 5 minutes.
Great experience all the time."

"People at city hall are a joke, twice i have gone in to get paperwork and pay for my dog license. They kept saying i have to do it online and gave me a site i can do it on. so i went to the site and guess what....it won't let me do it because of the breed. Then i had city by law show up at my door saying i have to do this or ill get a big fine... Well no kidding but its hard when YOU keep giving me wrong sites and people at city hall wont even give you the time of day, was candy crush on the phone of the lady behind the desk more important? Do better Brantford Do better..."

"We visited to inquire about marriage registration, but one of the staff members was extremely rude and displayed unprofessional behavior, particularly toward international individuals. The service provided to international people was notably poor.
On the other hand, another staff member was very kind, behaved respectfully, and explained everything in detail. We believe it’s important to treat everyone equally, especially international individuals who may not be familiar with certain steps required for paperwork."
