Visitors praise Carden Alvar Provincial Park for its unique alvar ecosystem and exceptional birdwatching opportunities, calling it a serene and mysterious grassland. However, some find the single-path trails tedious, and the lack of facilities like washrooms and garbage cans requires careful preparation.
"Good and easy hiking, especially for kids. There is no picnic table, no washroom or garbage can. Be mindful and bring your own garbage bag if you are planning to eat during your hiking.
Have fun! 🌱🌲🌳🌻"

"Beautiful birding park! There is a Porta potty in the first parking lot. Gravel roads with lots of potholes, some large and flooded over. Lovely views and birds. It wasn't crowded when we went. Also, there's a blind with a couple of wooden benches where you can watch the Meadowlarks. I fell in love with the trees!"

"We were looking forward to this unique environment, which was interesting, but the single path out and back all along the farm fence made it a very tedious 'hike'.
Well maintained boardwalks, thank you."
