Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Courtenay Airpark for its scenic beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and dual appeal for aviation enthusiasts and nature lovers. The paved walking trails are a hit for biking and leisurely strolls, while the estuary provides ample opportunities for wildlife spotting. Some note that it's best enjoyed during daylight hours.

"A very very good and a very very nice and a very very scenic park to walk or ride your bike around or just relax at and watch the birds but I recommend staying out of that park after dark.

Entertaining to watch up close small planes take off and land in this small fenced-in area, with benches and walking path (Courtenay Riverway Heritage Park Trail) surrounding it. Located beside the estuary with informative signage, plus a nearby cafe and marina at the north end (and car park), children's playground at the south end (car parking via Mansfield Dr.). The trail is flat and paved, so easy for walking albeit limited shade. Tiny coffee place nearby. You can walk to downtown from there (15-30 min.). Peaceful and relaxing area to also watch birds and walk leashed dogs."

"Great paved route to use for getting outside and seeing some airplanes :)
Rollerblading, biking, walking, has a couple gravel spots but they’re optional, so pretty accessible as well 👍"
