What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Cow Head Lighthouse Trail to be a charming and easy walk with surprisingly beautiful ocean views, especially if they venture beyond the lighthouse itself. While the lighthouse is small, the surrounding nature, lookouts, and unique rock formations at Spring Beach are frequently praised. Some note the lighthouse isn't directly on the ocean, but the overall experience is highly positive for a short, scenic hike.
"Drive to the end of the main road leading into Cow Head, which will take you past beautiful views of beaches and the ocean vistas. You will find signs that lead you to a parking area where the trail head is clearly marked. We were surprised to find the lighthouse surrounded by trees and no visible to the ocean. Loved the quiet trail with ocean views and the cute signs along the trail. Lovely spot for an easy hike."

"Nice little (tiny actually) lighthouse that is found after a little hike from a car park. The hike itself is really easy, along a well maintained path with stairs, etc. Walk to the lighthouse itself is about 10 or so minutes from the car park, but I really recommend pressing on to the Point of the Head, which is quite stunning. Path along the way passes in some of the densest small trees growth I have seen."

"An ok hike, short and easy, but the lighthouse is very very short and you don’t get much viewpoint."
