Reviews Summary

Reviews for residential buildings in Oliver often highlight the excellent location, cleanliness, and safety of the properties. Many tenants praise the convenience of nearby amenities like grocery stores and the pleasant views from their units. However, some reviews point to issues with management professionalism and communication, which can detract from an otherwise positive living experience.

"I will start off with saying the building is a great building to live in. It's clean and always well looked after. It is very safe and secure. I have had zero problems here. The location is amazing and the amenities like the gym and Safeway being in the same building is a God sent. I absolutely love my unit which has a great view of the river valley. The management here is very easy to deal with and very reasonable. I have had a couple situations arise and they have been More than accommodating and professional. Living at the Oliver has been a wonderful experience so far and I would highly recommend this building. You won't regret it."

Steve

"The location of Oliver Residences is great, the units are nice, the amenities are decent, and the neighborhood is amazing. However, the management and overall tenant experience leave much to be desired.

As the primary point of contact for our household, I have handled most of our interactions with management, and unfortunately, these have often been met with unnecessary rudeness. After signing a new lease for a smaller unit, we encountered an unprofessional exchange when asking about our moving progress. I responded politely with an update and an estimated completion time, only for management to abruptly reply, “I wasn’t talking to you.” This dismissive attitude was not only uncalled for but also disrespectful, especially as my partner was focused on assisting me, his disabled partner, with the move.

Another major issue was the handling of our mail. My employer had been slow to update my address and had mailed both of my pay cheques to my previous unit. When I requested access to my mail, I received one of the cheques, and it was agreed that management would check again for the last time. However, multiple follow-ups via text and email were ignored or unanswered, leaving me with no choice but to take extra steps with my employer to track down my missing wages. This unnecessary lack of communication created stress and inconvenience that could have easily been avoided.

While the property itself has many positives, the lack of respect, professionalism, and clear communication from management—and otherwise—has made living here unnecessarily frustrating. If tenant relations were handled with more care, this would be a great place to live. As it stands, I cannot recommend it. If you like courtesy and professionalism, I suggest going to Iris."

Ross Ventura

"Amazing place to live! The building is clean, modern, and well-kept. Being right next to Safeway is super convenient, and there are plenty of great restaurants and hidden gems within walking distance. The neighborhood is also very safe and quiet, making it a perfect spot to call home. Definitely recommend!"
