"Born in Goderich and left moved when I was 8. The walk around is full of rich history. Funny story about the settlement. You need to step into each store to see how unique they all are. Favourite hotel is the Bedford who's history is movie worthy and very affordable.
Great restaurants and bakeries and specialty stores you could spend hours walking through. Always helpful staff. After the square you have beautiful sites and interesting history. It's a must see."

Ryan Jenkin (Lunchbox)

"The Square's unique radial composition and ordered symmetry is centred on an octagonal shaped public space at the heart of the downtown core. This area is known locally as "Market Square", “The Square” or “Courthouse Square” for having been the site of a market since the 1840's and the location of the County Courthouse, since 1857. The downtown core of Goderich is a rare example of an Ontario town plan that was designed and surveyed well in advance of any construction. The Square is comprised of 47 properties and was designated by the Town of Goderich under Ontario Heritage Act in 1982."

Cristina Vasilenco

"Under construction but can get to everything. Without construction it must be so pretty!"
