Can someone explain to me the allure of the Beach at Grand Bend?
We recently just purchased a trailer in the Ipperwash beach area, and made our first attempt to visit Grand Bend on the last long weekend, and were met with 20 minutes of bumper to bumper traffic going into the main strip. We circled for about 45 minutes and never ended up…

Good spots to kayak?
Hey all - just getting into kayaking and wondering what spots in the area people find best for a relatively new kayaker? Is the lake a bad idea for someone new to kayaking? Or will it be fine staying somewhat close to shore? Any other spots people recommend?

Bring sunscreen, towels, and beach chairs for a comfortable day on the sand.
⚓ Boater Friendly
Marina staff are very helpful. Docks can be high, but personal platforms are sometimes available.
best spots in southern ontario to beach-comb?
I fell in love with beach combing in mid June when i had the opportunity to do so in the Wiarton area and found a fossil and some cool rocks. I live in the GTA and am willing to drive 2-3 hours to find a cool spot on lake superior, simcoe or huron! any insight is appreciated.

"It's mu favorite beach in the nearby area of London. It's not always crowded but depends upon the day you visit. I visited last time in beginning of July during weekend and hardly few people were there and now visited again during long weekend and it took me like 30 minutes to find parking but it was still worthit. I would recommend it as an excellent one day getaway."

"Very much enjoyed the clean Marina, Beach and Downtown area.
We will be back shortly with a party of 8. There was sufficient dredging done to insure our safe arrival. The current dredging analysis on your site is awesome"

"I highly recommend Grand Bend Marina. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our large group. The Marina is located just steps from the beach and a short walk into town. Grand Bend Marina is a destination every boater should plan to visit!"
