Reviews Summary
Kilby Provincial Park is lauded for its beautiful, rare sandy beach and peaceful river setting, making it a perfect day trip or camping destination. Visitors appreciate the adjacent historic site and abundant wildlife. Some note that parking can be challenging during peak times and the lack of showers at the campground.
"Kilby Park is such a beautiful spot and definitely worth a visit! The beach is peaceful with stunning views of the river and mountains, and the water is calm enough for a refreshing swim or just to dip your feet in. It’s a great place to relax, picnic, or take in nature.
The only reason I wouldn’t give it a full 5 stars is that the water access can be a little rocky and the beach area can get busy during peak times, but overall it’s a lovely, well-kept park that feels like a hidden gem. Perfect for a day trip if you want to escape the city."

"Finally I found my favorite campground!! Btw, we loved camping, hiking, back country everything but most of the places here have rock, rock beach and I don't like that at all
This campground has a beautiful sandy beach. So nice, so beautiful, so peaceful, so clean! The staff always clean the washroom and are all around so I'm really happy. The only thing I wish they have is a shower so no shower here. You can come for a day too if you want.
It's connected to Kilby historical site, really nice which restaurant and cafe so do not forget to check them out
Anyway, I love this campground so it'll be our family favorite campground"

"Spent 1 week here.🏕⛰️🏞🌊🦅🎣
Area: Very private surrounded by the mountains. A few walking trails nearby. The water is safe to swim or paddle board - there is a sandy island in the middle. Just watch out for boats & hungry fish (JK 😝). Plenty of wildlife: bats, osprey, eagles, chikidees, seals, & otters.
Warning: A train runs every couple of hours nearby - day & night.
Facilities: Pet friendly (leashed)🐶🐱🕊. A boat ramp - popular for fishing. Each camping lot is a short walk to the beach. There are water stations & outhouses stationed every few lots (clean as could be, but expect flies, webs, dead bugs & stench). Grounds staff are hard working - picking up rubbish, fallen branches, & sweeping each lot so it's clean for the next visitors.
Extras: They sell ice, but its advised to pre-order. 🧊
The Kilby Historical building is a 10-20 minute walk away - they have a cafe thats pet friendly plus farm animals & a beautiful garden. 🌻"
