What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Isobel Lake's serene beauty, cooler mountain temperatures, and affordable camping. The easy trails and abundant wildlife make it a peaceful escape. Some note the bumpy access road and the need for cash and offline maps due to lack of cell service.
"This is a beautiful spot!! There are resident loons, frogs, and lots of other animals. The lake is gorgeous and serene, great for a paddle or a float. This place was ten degrees cooler than Kamloops when I went (during a hot spell). The rec site has great sites for camping and quite a few - there were still spots available when I arrived on a Friday night in August. I highly recommend camping here. Camping details: take a rutted road (totally doable in a car, just bumpy) for 40 minutes up a mountain and you are there. Sites are only 15 bucks a night and ONLY cash is taken. There is no cell service here. Most sites have shaded areas. There is a walking trail that can be used by those with low mobility - see pics for more info on that. Very nice site manager! 5 star experience."
