Day and a half in Kelowna - recommendations for hikes, best places to eat
Hi everyone! I'm travelling to Kelowna next week for the first time on a work trip, and I'm going to get about a day and a half of free time. I'd love to get in a hike or two - any suggestions for good trails this time of year? Anything impacted by snow yet this season? I'm a…

Off leash dog trails recommendations please?
I don’t want to get in the whole keep your dog on a leash debate, just looking for some hikes around the Kelowna area where my dog can hike and explore his surroundings. I have a dog who needs to run and don’t feel comfortable taking him to a dog park. Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park for its stunning scenery, historic trestles, and accessible trail, making it a highlight for families and cyclists. While the drive up can be steep and the summer heat intense, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return.
"An easy and accessible walk along a historic and beautiful path. The drive up takes on the incline leaving you with a flat, wide path to enjoy. One way is 12km over some amazing trestle bridges. It was snowing/raining the day we went so we completed only 6km overall. Many people rent bikes and do a full 24km loop. The views we had were brilliant, so I can only imagine how much better they would be on a sunny day. There are pit toilets along the way and a storm shelter. There are many benches from which to enjoy the view. Will be looking forward to going back."

"We did the Lost Lake trail. We started just after 8am not many on the trail. Spectacular views of the valley. Coming back down there were lots of bikers but no issues everyone was friendly. Super close from downtown."

"An exhilarating family bike ride in the most picturesque setting! This is a must do when visiting the Kelowna area.
Our 6 year old twins easily managed the 24 km round trip trestle trail. We brought our own bikes but rentals are available.
Benches with stunning views are plentiful along the route and there are also a couple of storm shelters and bathrooms available, too. There is also a volunteer staff member who rides back and forth along the trail in case anyone needs help (like a spare tire, for example).
Would recommend bringing snacks and water: just be aware of the overly friendly chipmunks who have obviously been fed by humans passing through. Side note: Please don’t feed the wildlife, people!
Our family had an incredible experience biking over the 18 trestles! Highly recommend. This was a highlight of our trip to the Okanagan. Our cheeks hurt from smiling so hard!"
