Finally got my Kayak bayak and now I'm looking for nice spots to paddle! I'm not an hardcore or extreme kayaker, more of a "doobie and a paddle" kind of Kayaker. Elk Lake is close to my home, but I'd like some other scenic spots! FYI I WILL NOT go into the ocean. I respect…

"Nice lake in amongst the city. I have walked by there a few times and have seen plenty of birds along the water. A walkway near the south end brings you right over the water. Just be careful after heavy rains because it does flood here. There is a walk out dock with a ladder for swimming and a floating dock out in the water. I will come back in the warmer weather and check it out then as it should be more lively and less rainy days. Very relaxing place to sit or for walking around. Check it out, I really recommend this place."
