What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Thetis Lake Regional Park for its beautiful lakes, well-maintained trails, and family-friendly beach. It's a popular spot for swimming, hiking, and paddling, offering a tranquil escape. Some find the views can become repetitive on longer hikes, and the beach gets crowded during peak summer weekends.
"Wonderful place for a tranquil stroll. The park is massive and covered in dense vegetation. The lakes are beautiful all year round. The trails are well marked and maintained. The only downsides are that there is almost no gradient and the views do get boring after awhile."

"Amazing, relaxing great hiking and a nice beach. Parking was a breeze during the day. Worth the visit and make sure to bring swim wear on a nice day. Lake is clear and clean.
The hike can be a little hard for some as it has a few elevation changes but it's dog friendly."
Jag Basrai
"Thetis lake is super beautiful, and I always manage to find something new! There are tons of birds and fish. I've even seen a few garter snakes. Its disappointing to see so many invasive bull frogs. I even found a cool young deer skeletons.
The trails are very easy. If you're fairly mobility limited you could easily walk the south west side of lower Thetis, the east side has a single section with decent elevation gain, but for the most part the entire region is good hiking for the whole family. The beach beautiful and sandy, but always packed in summer. Every part of the lake is great for swimming, depending on how comfortable you are going on from rocks. My favorite spots for swimming are out to the island, and a couple deeper sections in upper Thetis. Decent fishing trout and bass. No motorized boats are allowed, but ideal for paddlers. There is a dog park, which is actually where I usually launch my kayak."
