Whereโs the closest spot to Langford to pan for gold.
Iโm not able to drive at the moment but I can do a 20km round trip on my e-bike. Iโd love to be able to do some hobby gold panning but Iโm not sure where in a 10 kilometre radius a good spot would be. Any recommendations would be absolutely lovely. Thanks!

My friend and I want to do a small hike and check out the treastle. We have lived here all our lives and have never seen it. I have googled info how to get there and stuff but everything I find is like 10km hikes. Where do you go if you just wanna check it out? Small hikeโฆ
Are there any public access gold panning locations around Victoria that aren't too far out in the wild (only have small car)?
Kennedy river area up island is the only public panning site in the island. Vancouver Island Placer Miners Association has some claims if your a member. They have a forum and are a pretty helpful group. BC Gov(iirc) has a site you can check what areas are claimed. Mostโฆ

"Short little mine, roughly 40 or so feet in length, and shorter than the average person. There is water at the front, but you can easily get through it with the proper footwear or by stepping on the path made from logs and rocks seen in the picture. We also found some cool looking mushrooms, a little stream on the path there, and a raccoon skull near where we parked. Overall a great place to see if you haven't gone yet!"
Owen B
"after the initial semi steep climb at the beginning, the trail is a series of gentle rolling hills. very peaceful."
