Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Malahat SkyWalk's stunning panoramic views and its unique, accessible spiral ramp design. The adventure slide is a particular hit for all ages, and the free shuttle from Victoria is a convenient bonus. Some find the admission price a bit high, and wish for clearer signage regarding food/drinks and re-entry policies.

"One of the island’s newest attractions!

The Malahat Skywalk is a fantastic attraction for both locals and visitors. The views are absolutely stunning and it’s a wonderful way for people of all ages to enjoy and experience Vancouver Island’s natural beauty.

The viewing platforms are truly breath-taking, especially at the top. You don’t realize just how magical it is until you’re up there.

The whole site is thoughtfully designed, encouraging play, exploration, and learning from the moment you arrive whether it’s admiring the driftwood sculptures, getting a treat at the Happy Camper, walking on the adventure net, taking the spiral slide down or just revelling in the amazing architecture and planning that has gone into making this attraction a reality.

There is an outdoor fire-pit, food service before the walk and at the tower and clean bathrooms available.

The annual membership is well worth it, especially with the bonus discounts to on-site food, souvenirs and other local attractions.

Pro tip 1: Before you leave, make sure to take advantage of Luke’s Lane! The walk offers a great taste of what it’s like to be in a rainforest, and the interpretive elements along the way make the experience both informative and enjoyable.

Pro tip 2: If you don’t have children and you prefer a quieter and less “lively” visit, I recommend going earlier in the morning, as afternoons can be lively with families heading for the slide and adventure net.

Pro-tip 3: For a full day with visitors, start the morning at the Malahat and then take the Mill Bay ferry across to Brentwood Bay to experience the amazing Butchart Gardens. You have to drive to Mill Bay to get back to Victoria anyways, so consider saving time driving back and around and substitute it with a scenic ferry ride across!

Overall, the Malahat Skywalk is an incredible experience and a must-see on the island. Plan to spend 1-2 hours there."

"I really enjoy visiting Malahat SkyWalk. The staff are always friendly and kind. My favorite time to go is around Halloween when people walking up in their costumes make it even more fun, and the place is beautifully decorated for the season.

The best part is sliding all the way down, it feels like going back to childhood. There’s also free parking, and the restaurant has good food and drinks, perfect for a short break before or after the walk.

Highly recommend for families or anyone who wants to have a bit of fun and enjoy the view."

"A nice activity to add to your Victoria itinerary. The attraction is about 45 - 50 minutes away from downtown Victoria. There provide FREE shuttle service from downtown Victoria. I took the shuttle and it was very comfortable, a large bus. The driver was really nice.
The Malahat Skywalk was breathtaking, the structure, the view while walking to the top and the tree top walk was great.
They have a slide to go down but I did not take it.
There are food trucks for snacks and drinks, but nothing too heavy for a complete meal. Good enough to get by.
There is nothing much to do but climb the skywalk so you don't need a lot of time to allocate here. Say 1-2 hours is more than enough.
There is also a souvenir shop, and of course washrooms. The plus for me here is the FREE shuttle as there is no public transportation to get here. But of course, the Skywalk is the main thing. Worth visiting if you are in Victoria or nearby area."
