What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Uniacke Estate Museum Park for its beautifully preserved historic house and the engaging, knowledgeable guides who bring the past to life. The scenic grounds and extensive walking trails are also a major highlight, offering year-round enjoyment for families, dog walkers, and nature enthusiasts alike. While the house tour is relatively brief, the overall experience is considered excellent value.
"My wife and I were traveling in the area and decided to check this site out. We enjoyed touring the house, entrance fee of $4 per adult. The house was the summer home of Richard John Uniacke and holds the artifacts of a wealthy aristocrat of the early to mid 1800s. There were knowledgeable curators on site to help bring perspective to the history, family, rooms and artifacts. It was a quick and interesting tour in my perspective. The grounds, trails and lake are naturally beautiful and open to the public so stop by to check that out even if the house tour is not to your liking."

"We had a wonderful visit to the Uniacke Estate Museum. The grounds are beautiful for a walk, and the historic home is stunningly preserved. What truly made the experience special was the guide, their storytelling was engaging and accessible, even for our toddler. My little one was captivated by the guide’s explanations and asked lots of questions (which were all answered so patiently). It’s rare to find a museum where history feels alive and welcoming for all ages. Highly recommend for a family outing, especially if you’re looking to mix nature, history, and some very toddler-friendly learning."
