"Went to check as How this wildlife reserve is ok to visit. Area is Super muddy during Oct- November. Advised to wear long pants tucked inside socks and wear insect repellents on hands. Wear suitable footwear that suits muddy terrain.Trail is grassy and wilderness can be felt. Some of the guideline posts have fallen and needs to maintained well. Only 10-15 parking spots observed. Worth visiting to experience nature!"

"Went on a weekday afternoon and it was very quiet, not busy at all. The Oshawa trail, which goes along the waterfront, is grass, so it can be super muddy at points. Only sticking point here is the trail they advertise as being accessible to visually impaired folks, called Dogwood Trail is not particularly accessible at the moment as many of the posts along it which hold up a guide line are knocked down, probably due storms this past winter. But important to note for anybody hoping to utilize that. Also make sure to wear long pants, tuck them into your socks and check for ticks when you get home - it’s a huge problem all over Southern Ontario these days!"
