Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the North Shore Rugged Trail's stunning bay views and unique geological formations, calling it a beautiful Canadian scenery spot. It's highly praised as a dog-friendly location with ample free parking. However, the rugged, rocky terrain can be challenging for those with mobility issues or infants, and the lack of washrooms is a minor inconvenience.

"Summervm Review - This is a shoreline hike or scramble. Solid hiking shoes with closed toe recommended. If you have water shoes, I would pack them with you, it will make water access more enjoyable. You will be in the sun the majority of the time, so pack the SPF45. No public water station, so bring your own. You will find many spots where you can dip into the water to cool down or get a good swim - your dog(s) with love it. Amazing views of the bay, great geological formations along the shore - in other words, real pretty rocks. This is a really nice hike but if you have mobility issues, lower back pain, or travelling with infants, it might not be for you. There are several sections where the rocks are uneven and you will be stepping high to reach the next rock. It can challenge your balance. I absolutely loved it and it is one of the few places you can spend a few hours in 30+ degree heat and enjoy it. Parking lot is large and free of charge."

"That beach trail in Parry Sound is so pretty!
It has a big parking lot, and you can bring the kids and dogs.
We took our 14-month-old, and he loved grabbing little rocks, tossing them in the water, and running around.
We'll definitely go back."

"Very beautiful Canadian scenery trail. Its rocks and boulders so it is indeed rugged but doable for all ages as long as you take it slow and easy. Dogs are allowed iff leash and there are many! 🐾
It’s just by parry sound so you’ve got options for lunch and dinner. And ice cream / coffee on the pier.
There is a small beach where you can swim but I noticed people wearing water shoes. Seems very rocky in the water."
