Powell River camping?
Driving to Powell River tomorrow to check it out as we are considering moving there. Looked online but can only find one campsite there?! Does anyone know if there is other camping nearby, preferably with showers? Do a lot of people just camp in the surrounding nature? We will…
💧 Bring Your Own Water
While there's a hand pump, it's wise to bring extra water for drinking and cooking.
🚴♀️ Trail Etiquette
Cyclists and joggers share the path. Be courteous and aware of others, especially on blind corners.
Favourite things to do in Powell River?
My partner and I are heading up to Powell River and Lund for a few days from Victoria. Do you have any cute shops/cafes/restaurants that you recommend? Any cute shops like Lore or Local Assembly around up there?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the gorgeous, clean campsites and the friendly park rangers at Inland Lake Provincial Park. The scenic 13km loop trail is a major draw for recreation. However, the unpaved access roads can be challenging for low-clearance vehicles, and the boat launch area can get crowded on sunny days.
"Gorgeous camp spot. Coming down can be a bit hairy for low clearance vehicles but the sites are very clean and ranger is very friendly.
Park has a dock for smaller craft and day use picnic tables. Pit toilets and well water from a hand pump"

"Nice, maintained, 13km multi-use path around this astutely-named Inland Lake - great for trail jogging (which I was doing), though beware of cyclists, some of whom don't slow down (there probably should be a separate path for cyclists/wider path / dismounting rules on blind corners).
There is a path off the north-west corner of the lake which I investigated - the main trail of which seemed to end in cottages (whose tenants stared at me with furrowed brows like it was a trail only for their use...), though there were many sidetrails which I did not check out.
There is a fair bit of parking near the boat launch at the south-east corner of the lake. There are various mini-beaches where I observed people swimming. There are outhouses by the boat launch and a few other spots around the lake. Excellent recreational path overall."

"Beautiful lake area. The only issue is on sunny days the boat launch and camping dock get pretty crowded. Located a bit far on dirt roads"
