Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking natural beauty of Canyon Sainte-Anne, highlighting the powerful waterfall and stunning views from the suspension bridges. It's praised as a perfect short outdoor adventure, though some note the many stairs. The optional Air Canyon ride is a popular thrill.
"A beautiful and scenic canyon just 30 minutes from Québec City, perfect for a short outdoor adventure. The 2 km trail offers several stunning viewpoints of the canyon. During our visit, one of the suspension bridges was closed, but an alternate path allowed us to reach the lower area.
If you enjoy short hikes with great views, this is the place to visit. We didn’t try the canyon ride as our available time slot was quite late, but there’s also a small obstacle course that the kids loved. You can easily spend 2 to 4 hours exploring and enjoying the area."

"It's 15$ entry, short hike and fairly moderate climb to the base where you cross a steel bridge that you can see through all the way down to the raids below you, takes your breath away. They have natural source water at the restaurant so no need to buy bottles like i did, fill up your own. It's an incredible place, they even have zip-line. I spent about an hour here, but im fast and alone so plan for 2 to 3 hours especially if your in a group to take it all in."

"Fun stop for the family. We received a discount on admission as 1 of the 2 bridges was closed off. Spent about 1.5 hours walking around. Lots of fun areas to take photos. The view of the falls is breathtaking. Prepare to climb stairs up and down if you want to get good views!"

Exploring the Trails and Bridges
One of the most exhilarating aspects is crossing the suspension bridges. One of these is noted as one of the highest in Quebec, providing a thrilling perspective as you walk high above the river. These bridges are engineered to sway slightly, adding to the adventure while ensuring safety. Be prepared for a significant number of stairs, both ascending and descending, as the trails navigate the varied terrain of the canyon.
While the trails are well-maintained, they are not considered stroller-friendly due to the stairs and uneven surfaces. However, the effort is rewarded with unparalleled views and a deep connection with the raw beauty of the natural landscape.
Adventure Activities: Beyond the Hike
Another thrilling option is zip-lining, allowing you to soar through the canyon at high speeds. This activity is perfect for thrill-seekers who want to experience the canyon from a different, more dynamic angle. Some visitors have expressed initial fear but ultimately enjoyed the experience immensely.
These activities are typically separate from the general admission fee, so factor in additional costs if you plan to partake. They are highly recommended for an unforgettable experience that complements the natural beauty of the canyon.
Family Fun and Accessibility
For younger visitors, the Parc des Pètraminis offers an interactive element with creatures to discover along a trail. This can add an engaging layer to the visit for kids. The overall natural beauty and the thrill of the suspension bridges can also captivate children's imaginations.
When planning a family visit, consider the physical demands of the trails. Bringing snacks and water is always a good idea, and the on-site restaurant provides a place to rest and refuel. The combination of natural wonders and adventure activities makes it a memorable outing for many families.
