What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Spirit Trail for its scenic waterfront beauty and accessibility, making it ideal for walking and cycling. However, some find the proximity to traffic in certain areas detracts from the experience, and the fragmented nature of the trail requires careful planning.
"Beautiful trail with many parts along the bay to walk or ride a bike"

"The Spirit Trail is an ambitious greenway development that will eventually connect Deep Cove and Horseshoe Bay, so at the moment it’s pretty fragmented. I’ve only walked/hiked small portions of the Trail, but continued progress of this project is exciting. I would love to cycle the trail like many do, but I don’t think a vintage steel-frame single speed will fair well on this trail.
The one thing I have issue with, and there’s no real way around it, is the proximity to traffic in many areas. I understand that complete seclusion from roads is simply not an option, after all the Trail connects to and intersects many major roads; it would have to in order to accomplish its connectivity mandate. But hearing the sound of cars really takes the... spirit... out of hiking the Spirit Trail."

"Relatively new section of the trail. Nice & safe to visit😁"
