What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Beaver Hills for its beautiful, well-maintained trails suitable for all ages and its dog-friendly atmosphere. The opportunity for excellent stargazing in a designated Dark Sky Preserve is a major draw, offering a peaceful escape into nature. Some minor issues like fallen trees on longer trails and occasional maintenance needs for facilities were noted.
"Very nice place for a short nature/trail walk. Dog friendly on leash. I did all the long route was about 3500 steps. So fairly short. But trails are well groomed and a nice mix of easy and intermediate hiking."
Derek McKnight
"There's a 20 minute and a 1 hour trail here. We visited twice, in mid May and in mid June. The first visit was to explore the shorter trail and the second one to explore the longer one. However, due to several large trees which had fallen across the pathway of the longer trail, we only went on the 20 minute trail both times.
It's absolutely beautiful, lovely wildflowers, and buzzing bees. You hear the birds chirping and sometimes you can hear the beavers at work. Baby strollers with larger wheels would have no trouble on the shorter trail. We can't wait to explore the 1 hour trail next time we get a chance."
Sreedhar Venugopal
"A beautiful walk along the wide open paths amongst the trees. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and didn't see any other people. Disappointed we didn't see any beavers and the public toilet needed to be emptied."
