What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise World Waterpark for its extensive variety of slides, the impressive wave pool, and its suitability for all ages, making it a great escape, especially during colder months. However, some find the pricing steep, the policy on purchasing single tubes inconvenient, and the weight restrictions on slides to be an odd or intrusive measure.
"I finally got my family to come meet me in Edmonton after a work rotation. We went to the water park for the afternoon and took it all in. I love that there were adult drinks at the bar, and the rides were great for the little ones. They had a blast on all the slides, the wave pool, and the Caribbean play area. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to kill a day in the mall."

"We had a fun experience, however some things I did not love. First off having to purchase a single tube to do the rides, like come on. Yes I know a double tube is free but always long wait and I would have to go every time with my son, so we eventually bought a single. Also the weighing us before certain slides, I’m barely 120 pounds and my son is 60lbs and they weighed us to make sure we are not over 250lbs each… like really… anyone with eyeballs would know we are not over 250lbs. Trying to avoid fat shaming I supposed but really strange concept. Did like how they had dip in dots and served alcohol in the park! The no and out is annoying too. I bought a day pass, I should get to use it all day when I want. My son had fun though so I guess that’s all that matters!"

"After visiting many indoor water parks, West Edmonton Mall’s is definitely my favourite so far. The many water slides and areas to explore tops. Some slides can be pretty hectic here and there specifically ones in which you are dropped straight down. But in general most of the slides here were pretty good. Lines weren’t as bad as thought they would be for a Friday and never did I wait more that 20 minute, this can obviously vary/depend on which slide you’re waiting for. If you’re looking for something not too crazy and fast I would recommend the blue bullet (That may not be the name as I don’t remember it) but It’s essentially a blue slide somewhere in the middle of all the slides and it has two parts to it.
Like any other attraction at WEM the price is pretty pricey being the same as Galaxyland but that could’ve change on your age. The wave pool along with all the other activities are also very fun to check out.
I’ll typically visit every few years and it’s never a disappointment."
