Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Brier Island for its exceptional whale watching opportunities and stunning natural beauty. The island offers a peaceful escape with friendly locals and charming amenities. While some find accommodations rustic, the overall experience is highly rewarding, with many calling it a hidden gem worth the journey.

"Most visitors who come here do so to spot whales (during the season).
This is easy to do from here. But this island offers so many more beautiful details.
For example, when you take a walk along the coast (counterclockwise), you will pass a house with whale objects in the garden; an excellent hotel/restaurant and, if you continue walking, you will see a lighthouse at a spectacular point. It doesn't stop there, because you can continue walking along the rugged coastline on a narrow path. Always with changing views of the ocean. In several places, you will see cormorants, even herons, and we saw two colonies of seals.
To see the whales, you have to take the boat. Well worth it!"

James Conley

"It's a great little island with lots of scenic views. We went whale watching, and we were not disappointed. The whales put on quite a show for us! There are a few hiking trails, too, but I didn't get any time to try them this time."
