What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Little Mountain Park's vastness, beautiful trails, and off-leash dog areas, calling it a perfect urban oasis. However, the park can get extremely muddy in spring, and some find the lack of easily accessible restrooms inconvenient. The popularity with dogs means off-leash encounters are common.
"Love love love this park!!! I used to bring my dog Java here when he was younger and healthy. It has the perfect combo of field, forest and water. The trails are wide and well groomed and it is just so incredibly massive that you could explore for days. It is a beautiful oasis, an amazing little getaway for us city folk."

"This park is good, especially for walking your dog.
We met so many dogs during the hike it was great to see as a dog lover.
For folks who may be scared or allergic to dogs, be careful going to this park when it's busy as most of the dogs are off leashes and may come running to you to say hello.
We visited this park towards the end of March, and it was incredibly muddy. I recommend waiting till mid-April or wearing shoes or boots that can withstand the mud.
There wasn't a lot to see. It was a lovely walk, and the air felt crisper.
It's a bonus that it's so close to the city."

"I biked here. The whole park is bike friendly and dog friendly. Dogs are off leash. When we went there were many white seeds covering the forest, looked like snow. The bugs are bad especially by the quarry at sundown. Lots of fire pits. Bathrooms are closed, a big con, so youโll have to pee/poo in the forest so bring Tp.
Only thing I donโt like is itโs hard to get there on bike. Google maps shows a shortcut through Brookside cemetery . When I went there the gates were closed so I had to go all the way back out of the cemetery and take the highway which is a very narrow two laner and has zero shoulder, deep ditches on each side, and massive semis rolling down it full speed. You must be careful if you take this way. I have a trailer so I had to be extra careful and take up extra room on the road.
You could take the 190 highway depending on where you are but it will take much longer to get there, but there is a massive paved shoulder so thatโs good but you will have to cross the bridge, though.
I liked it and I will be back."
