What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jinggang Ancient Town is a charming, developing tourist destination praised for its well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture and romantic riverside ambiance, especially at dusk. Visitors appreciate the authentic local food and the opportunity to bargain for souvenirs. However, some find the lack of English signage in museums and throughout the town to be a drawback, and the experience can feel 'for show' if not visited with the right expectations.
"Ancient Chinese Village! Popular traditional foods, handcrafted souvenirs. I like that place but we had to bargain the price of everything we bought there."

"Beautiful city to visit. Several restaurants, small stores and hotels. My main complaint is that they have signs at the museum that say in English "tickets required" but when you go into museum nothing else is in English. Mostly locals, I didn't see a single Caucasian in the area other than myself. I usually ate breakfast at No:4 , Bao An Street, which is the Main Street, with Yan ( ask for him, better cook than the wife) , best flat, thin noodles, and Won Ton soup. I usually asked for spicy ( his own fresh recipee) soup with pork and fresh fried egg on the top. Hummmm...i"
