Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently impressed by the City God Pavilion's unique architecture and the absolutely breathtaking panoramic views of Hangzhou and West Lake from its summit. While some find the ticket price a bit high for the interior experience, the stunning vistas and the pleasant surrounding park make it a memorable visit for many.
"We were truly stunned by the Chenghuang (City God Pavilion) temple in Hangzhou. This unique temple offers a remarkable experience, blending amazing traditional architecture with an atmosphere of tranquility. From the top of the pavilion, the stunning panoramic views of West Lake and the surrounding city of Hangzhou are simply breathtaking. The intricate design and cultural significance of the temple left a lasting impression, making it an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area."

"This building was built in 1999, luckily it's not its historical significance that is important. The building is just very unique looking and has a stunning view of West Lake and the surrounding city of Hangzhou. I've been to a lot of pagodas, temples and pavilions in Asia and none of them look like this one. It is iconic, despite not being old at all. It cost 30 RMB to get into the upper part of Wushan Hill that features this pavilion and it is absolutely worth it."

"Little park close to west lake area with a pavilion on the top. The park area is beautiful with lots of ancient trees. Can walk around and have many viewpoints around the area.
To go to the god pavilion itself you need ti buy tickets which is pretty expensive relative to what you will get to see. So it's better to wlak through the park but don't go to the pavilion as it's better to see the pavilion from outside than from within."
