Many appreciate its historical significance and the unique juxtaposition it presents in modern Beijing. "The church is the only one that’s open to the public at any time. It is easy to access being along the shopping strip of Wangfuching. There is a small park in front and it’s best to visit around 4pm as families will be there, with kids playing. When I went there was a child practising her cello - beautiful music. The church is simple and peaceful. We had only a short time with some parishioners in a prayer session in Mandarin then they politely informed us that the church was closing (5pm)."

"A historic Roman Catholic church.
The church’s architecture harmoniously blends Romanesque elements with traditional Chinese features, creating a unique aesthetic. Inside, the serene atmosphere offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. The spacious square in front of the church serves as a popular gathering spot for both locals and visitors, especially in the evenings when the church is beautifully illuminated. Regular Masses are conducted in Mandarin and English, welcoming worshippers and tourists alike. "

"Located in Wafujing street (famous area in Beijing) and near Sun Dynasty hotel, which is only 10 steps from our hotel.
We love the architect of the church. It reminds us of one of the church in Spain.
Too bad the church were close when we came there, so we can not go inside to see it.
Tips:
- Early October is the best time to visit Beijing, before winter. The weather is cold but not too cold. Around 11 Celsius at night and 20 Celsius at noon."
